Look Book | 70’s Inspired Style

If I could look like Lana Del Rey all day everyday, I would. But, I was born me, and she was born she. So the most I can do is make my wardrobe resemble hers, even the slightest!

It may sound silly to some, but I’ve actually struggled a lot with my sense of identity in fashion. The way I present my true, pure, casual self. A few months ago I was going through a hard time with “dressing how I felt” and creating my outside appearance to match my inside personality.

Finally, I’m figuring it out. “Style” and “Fashion” seem to be descriptive terms that lead us to a generalization or hold us to expectations – but it doesn’t have to be that. Style is who we are – it evolves with us, it grows with us, it enhances us. It completes us.

Style says, “this is who I am”.

I want to thank Alyssa and Courtney at Plato’s Closet for helping me find my style… and in turn, find myself.

P.S – At the end of this blog post you’ll find a discount code to use next time you shop at Plato’s Closet WARWICK!!

This jacket isn’t one I would normally seek out, or even consider as my eyes glanced over it. But in that small square dressing room with my stylist by side, it grabbed my attention. My eyes and my hands immediately reacted. I threw it over the hanger that this halter style whimsy dress was on and it all came together.
